Everything is managed through our website. Choose your dates, select the van and submit the booking request. You’ll receive a confirmation email to pay 50% of the total amount by card. 7 days before your departure you’ll receive another email to pay the remaining 50%. Once the booking is confirmed you’ll receive an email with all the details.

“At the time of vehicle handover, a €600 deposit will be required (bank transfer or cash), which is fully refunded within 24h if the vehicle is returned in perfect condition.”

Both vans come with their own insurance and 24-hour roadside assistance.

• Explorer: Third-party insurance with no excess.
• Nomad: Fully comprehensive insurance with a €600 excess.

You’re covered in Spain and abroad. In case of accident or breakdown, you’ll have an assistance number available at all times — we provide it at handover.

The deposit is €600 and is collected on the day of vehicle handover by bank transfer or cash.

If you return the van in perfect condition, the deposit is refunded within 24 hours with no charges. The deposit covers any damage not covered by insurance or extraordinary cleaning.

We understand plans change. Here’s what applies depending on how far in advance you cancel:

• More than 30 days before: 100% refund of the deposit.
• Between 15 and 30 days before: 50% refund of the deposit.
• Less than 15 days before: the deposit is non-refundable.

In July and August the no-refund policy applies from 30 days before, as it’s very difficult to rebook those dates. To cancel, contact us by WhatsApp or email (inaki@mendivan.com) and we’ll walk you through the steps.

Payment is made by credit or debit card through Stripe, a secure payment gateway. We do not accept Bizum or bank transfer for bookings.

Bookings of up to 7 days include 300 km/day — more than enough to explore the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias or the French Basque Country without any worries.

If you’re planning to go further, you can add unlimited mileage for €15/day when making your booking.

For bookings of 8 days or more, unlimited mileage is included at no extra cost.

Yes, both vans accept pets. We just ask that you return it in the same clean condition — if it’s very dirty due to the pet, a cleaning surcharge may apply.

The minimum age is 25 years and you must hold a valid driving licence with at least 2 years of experience.

Yes, both vans are authorised to drive abroad. Insurance covers the entire European Union. If you’re planning to travel outside the EU, please check with us first.

Both vans are fully equipped: outdoor table and chairs, complete kitchen kit (frying pan, pot, coffee maker, plates, cutlery and glasses), camping gas with 1 cylinder, clean bedding (sheets, duvet and pillows), dry toilet and fridge. All you need to bring is your clothes and the desire to get out there.

Pick-up and drop-off is in Bilbao, at the Miribilla neighbourhood car park.

If you need us to bring it to Bilbao airport or collect it there, this is available as an extra service for €25 per journey.

We’re flexible with times — we’ll arrange it directly with you when confirming the booking to fit your trip.

The Explorer (T5, 2011) has a diesel heater, ideal for travelling in low season or when the north gets cold. It has 4 seats with seatbelts but sleeps 2.

The Nomad (T6, 2016) is newer, with a more spacious and bright interior, sofa bed and 220V power outlet. Perfect for spring and summer. Both are fully equipped and priced the same.
